Tesla has announced that the Model Y L is set to debut soon in China, with a preview video giving a glimpse of the upcoming model. The electric vehicle (EV) maker, Tesla, shared this exciting news on Weibo today, without revealing many details about the new vehicle.
Last month, Tesla hinted that the six-seat Model Y L would be launched in China in the fall. The Model Y L, as reported by Tesla, will be a dual-motor model with peak power outputs of 142 kW and 198 kW for the front and rear motors, respectively. It will come equipped with an 82.0 kWh ternary battery pack from LG Energy Solution of South Korea, providing a range of 751 kilometers, according to the filing information.
The Model Y L is expected to be priced around RMB 400,000 ($55,710) and is anticipated to be a popular choice among Chinese consumers looking for a spacious and efficient SUV.
