Geely Galaxy, a sub-brand of Geely Auto, is set to unveil the highly anticipated Starshine 6 hybrid sedan tomorrow. The event will take place on September 5 in Qufu, Shandong province, eastern China. Geely Galaxy has described the Starshine 6 as a groundbreaking hybrid family sedan that will set new standards in its class.

Last month, Geely Galaxy released the first official photos of the Starshine 6, teasing the model as “born to be disruptive.” The pricing of the Starshine 6 is expected to be below the discounted starting price of RMB 115,800 ($16,190) for the larger Starshine 8 hybrid sedan that was launched in May.

According to a regulatory filing, the Starshine 6 has dimensions of 4,806 mm in length, 1,886 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,756 mm. The model is equipped with a 1.5L engine delivering a maximum power output of 82 kW and supports a top speed of 180 km/h.

The Starshine 6 features lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by Chinese battery manufacturers CALB and Rept Battero Energy. It is powered by the all-new Leishen EM-i Super Hybrid System and is expected to achieve a combined range exceeding 2,100 kilometers.

Geely Galaxy was initially launched as a new product lineup in February 2023 and was later elevated to a standalone brand in March 2025. The brand has seen significant growth in recent months, with record August sales of 110,666 units, marking a 172.59 percent year-on-year increase and a 16.44 percent month-on-month growth.

This strong performance from Geely Galaxy has contributed to Geely Auto’s overall success, with August sales reaching 250,167 units, the second-highest monthly total ever. The success of the Geely Galaxy brand underscores the company’s commitment to innovation and delivering cutting-edge vehicles to the market.

The unveiling of the Starshine 6 is poised to further solidify Geely Galaxy’s position as a leader in the hybrid sedan segment, with advanced technology and impressive performance capabilities. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new addition to the Geely Galaxy lineup.
