The automotive industry is rapidly evolving, with Audi at the forefront of innovation. In a recent announcement, CEO Gernot Döllner revealed a shift in the company’s strategy towards a multi-energy approach. This means that in addition to electric vehicles (EVs), Audi will also be exploring options like mild hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), and e-fuels.

The model lineup is also undergoing a transformation, with changes in numbering and a focus on electrified options. Diesel engines are being phased out due to increasing taxation in many countries. The range of cars and SUVs is expanding, with new body styles being introduced.

In the B segment, Audi is considering discontinuing the small hatchback A1 after its current production run ends. The C segment will see facelifts for the A3 and A3 allstreet, extending their lifecycle till 2030. The A4 and S4 e-tron Sedans and Avants are expected to share a platform with the next generation Golf.

A new electric crossover, possibly named A2 e-tron or Q2 e-tron, is in the works for 2027. The Q3 and Q3 Sportback will be updated in 2025 with MHEV and PHEV options. In the D segment, the A5, RS 5 Avant, and Q5 models are set to debut with various powertrain options.

The E segment will see the launch of the A6/S6 e-tron hatchbacks and Avants, featuring the PPE platform. The A6 e-tron series will be followed by the RS 6 e-tron models in 2025. The e-tron GT is also getting a facelift, with a second generation expected in 2028.

The F segment may see the return of the TT in 2028, possibly as an electric model. A successor to the A8 is tentatively planned for 2029. Sportscars like the R8 may explore PHEV options in the future.

A new SAIC-Audi joint venture is in the works, with plans for nine electric vehicles by 2030. The partnership aims to introduce cutting-edge technologies and expand Audi’s presence in the Chinese market.

Overall, Audi’s future models from 2024 to 2034 promise a diverse range of electrified options, innovative platforms, and strategic partnerships to stay ahead in the rapidly changing automotive landscape.
