Changan Automobile Unveils New Digital Intelligent Manufacturing Factory

Changan Automobile recently celebrated the grand opening of its state-of-the-art digital intelligent manufacturing factory in collaboration with China Unicom and Huawei. The inauguration marked a significant milestone for the company, as the AVATR 07, a sleek mid-size SUV, was the first vehicle to roll off the production line at the new facility.

The AVATR 07 is offered in both all-electric and range-extended versions, making it a versatile choice for eco-conscious consumers. This model is the first to feature Changan’s innovative Kunlun range-extending technology and is available in six different variants, with prices ranging from 219,900 yuan to 289,900 yuan. Equipped with Huawei’s cutting-edge Qiankun ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system and HarmonyOS 4.0 smart cockpit, the AVATR 07 offers a seamless and futuristic driving experience.

The factory achieved a significant milestone by reaching its SOP (start of production) on December 27, 2023, with the launch of the Changan NEVO E07. What’s truly impressive is that this milestone was achieved just 352 days after construction began, showcasing the efficiency and speed of the factory’s operations.

The manufacturing facility boasts cutting-edge technology that sets it apart from traditional factories. For instance, the integrated die-casting process reduces the number of parts from 163 to just 2, significantly reducing production time from 2 hours to a mere 2 minutes. Additionally, the factory features the world’s first highly flexible CTV battery assembly line and the self-developed Anchen cloud inspection system for automated software testing. With over 1,200 intelligent devices, AI visual inspection capabilities, as well as Changan’s proprietary technologies like spark-free riveting and Golden Shield battery systems, the factory is at the forefront of innovation in the automotive industry.

Looking ahead, the factory has ambitious plans to ramp up production with the introduction of three new energy vehicle models, including the NEVO E07. With a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology, Changan Automobile’s new digital intelligent manufacturing factory is poised to shape the future of the automotive industry.
