Kia has announced a $700 price increase for the 2025 EV9 electric three-row crossover SUV, but only for the Light Long Range model. The starting price for the single-motor Light Standard Range with a 76.1-kwh battery pack remains at $56,225, including the $1,325 destination charge. The Light Long Range model, equipped with the larger 99.8-kwh battery pack, now starts at $56,925.
The pricing for other models remains unchanged. The EV9 Wind, priced at $65,225, features a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain. The Land and GT-Line grades are priced at $71,225 and $73,900, respectively.
Updates for the 2025 model year include the addition of a first-row sunroof as standard on Light Long Range models. The Relaxation Seat Package is no longer available on Land models. New paint options include Glacial Light Pearl and Ebony Black, while Ivory Silver Gloss, Ivory Silver Matte, and Ocean Blue Matte have been discontinued. The Dark Gray and Navy interior options for GT-Line models are also no longer available.
The EV9 can seat up to seven passengers and offers impressive range capabilities. The Light Long Range model boasts up to 304 miles of range, while the Light Standard Range model has a range of 230 miles. Most dual-motor models are rated at 280 miles, with the GT-Line model offering 270 miles due to its larger wheels. The GT-Line model also features increased torque, allowing for a 5.0-second 0-60 mph time.
The 2025 Kia EV9 received accolades in its first model year, being named The Car Connection Best Car To Buy 2024. It also earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick award after Kia made adjustments to the headlight aim. The EV9 is currently undergoing testing for the highest Top Safety Pick+ award, which requires passing an updated front crash test that evaluates the impact on second-row passengers in a head-on collision.
