Chery Holding’s monthly sales hit new high in September 2024

Chery Holding, a leading Chinese automaker, has reported impressive sales figures for the month of September. The company sold a total of 244,534 vehicles, marking a significant 28.6% increase compared to the same period last year.

In September, Chery Holding also saw a substantial growth in its export numbers, with 109,048 vehicles being shipped overseas, representing a 20.6% year-on-year increase. The company’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sales also saw a remarkable surge, reaching 58,941 units and experiencing a staggering 183.4% year-over-year growth.

Notably, Chery Holding achieved three new records in September, surpassing 240,000 units in monthly sales, 100,000 units in monthly exports, and 50,000 units in monthly NEV sales. These figures mark the highest monthly sales in the company’s 27-year history.

For the first three quarters of 2024, Chery Holding recorded a total of 1,752,793 vehicle sales, reflecting a significant 39.9% year-on-year increase. The company has already achieved 93% of its full-year sales volume for 2023.

In terms of NEV sales, Chery Holding sold a total of 331,788 units in the first nine months of the year, representing an impressive 186.4% growth compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, sales of traditional oil-fueled vehicles reached 1,421,005 units, showing a 24.9% increase year over year. Exports also saw a strong growth of 24.5% to 829,353 units, while domestic sales surged by 57.2% to 923,440 units.

Among Chery Holding’s key brands, the Chery brand sold 151,051 vehicles in September, while the EXEED brand sold 15,717 vehicles. The JETOUR brand reported monthly sales of 60,226 vehicles, and the iCAR NEV brand, which was launched seven months ago, sold 5,180 vehicles in September.
