Deutsche Bank has increased its sales forecast for Nio Inc in 2025, following the company’s recent earnings call which provided increased visibility. The bank now expects the Nio brand to sell 223,000 units in 2025, representing a 10% year-on-year increase, while the ONVO brand is expected to sell 219,000 units in 2025, compared to around 20,000 units in 2024. Additionally, the Firefly brand is projected to sell 8,000 units in 2025.
Nio recently announced that it expects fourth-quarter vehicle deliveries to be between 72,000 and 75,000 units, and is confident in doubling its sales in 2025. This would bring total deliveries for 2024 to be in the range of 221,000 to 224,000 units, with an estimated 450,000 units in 2025.
Previously, Deutsche Bank had anticipated Nio’s total sales in 2025 to increase by 44% year-on-year to 330,000 units, with 210,000 units from the Nio brand, 110,000 from ONVO, and 10,000 from Firefly. The company’s management aims to deliver 20,000 units of the ONVO L60 model by the end of this year, with plans to achieve 20,000 monthly deliveries in 2025.
Nio’s third brand, Firefly, was officially unveiled recently, with the first product set to be launched at Nio Day 2024 on December 21 and deliveries expected in the first half of 2025. The main Nio brand will introduce the ET9 flagship sedan in March 2025, while ONVO will launch two SUV models next year. The Nio brand is also expected to transition to a next-generation platform in 2025, with updates planned for five products in the second half of the year.
