The All-New AC Cobra GT Roadster: A Modern Classic

Measuring at 1.98m across the body and 4.23m long, with a wheelbase of 2.57m, the AC Cobra GT Roadster is a sight to behold. With a design that pays homage to the iconic Cobra while still maintaining a modern edge, this car stands out from the crowd and is sure to turn heads wherever it goes.

Constructed with a combination of extruded aluminum chassis and carbon fiber body, courtesy of a Sussex-based composites company recently acquired by AC, the GT Roadster is a masterpiece of engineering. As the only prototype in the UK, it represents the pinnacle of AC’s craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 5.0-liter Ford V8 engine, available with or without a supercharger, delivering either 454bhp and 420lb ft of torque in its naturally aspirated form or a whopping 654bhp and 575lb ft in its supercharged version. Paired with a Tremec six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic gearbox, this powerhouse is ready to unleash its full potential on the road.

With double wishbone suspension all around and a limited-slip rear differential or Torsen diff (depending on the model), the GT Roadster offers a thrilling driving experience that harkens back to the golden age of sports cars. The wide tires, ranging from 275/35 R21s to 325/30 R21s, provide ample grip and stability, allowing you to push the car to its limits with confidence.

Despite being a small-series type-approved vehicle, the GT Roadster is designed to meet the highest standards of performance and safety. While the prototype may still have some kinks to iron out, including the absence of anti-lock braking, brake servo, power steering, and anti-roll bars, the overall quality and finish of the car are exceptional.
