Jaguar releases more pictures of upcoming concept

Jaguar has unveiled two new preview images of its upcoming Design Vision Concept, giving us a glimpse of how the iconic Leaper logo will be incorporated into their future cars. The images hint at some innovative features, including a rear-facing camera that could potentially replace traditional side mirrors. This aligns with previous reports that Jaguar’s upcoming models will feature rear-view cameras instead of mirrors.

The teaser images also reveal the concept’s striking design, with wide rear wheel arches and a unique blend of smooth curves and sharp lines. The absence of a traditional rear window and rear lights adds to the concept’s futuristic appeal, with prominent slats across the tail possibly concealing the lights.

The new Leaper logo is prominently displayed on the concept, with the slats mirroring the logo’s design. This suggests that the concept will showcase Jaguar’s new branding in a bold and innovative way. The images were accompanied by the phrase “copy nothing,” echoing the creative vision of JLR chief Gerry McGovern and paying homage to Jaguar founder William Lyons.

This reveal comes on the heels of Jaguar’s recent rebranding efforts, which have sparked strong reactions from fans and industry experts alike. JLR CEO Adrian Mardell has described Jaguar’s transformation as a “complete reset” and promised something “spectacular” for the brand’s future.

The Design Vision Concept will be unveiled in full on December 2nd at Miami Art Week in Florida. The concept is expected to preview a four-door electric GT, the first of three electric cars slated for release starting in 2026. The production version of the electric GT has already begun road testing, boasting over 575bhp and a range of more than 430 miles. With a price tag exceeding £100,000, it aims to compete with luxury electric vehicles like the Porsche Taycan.
