Strategic Partnership Signed Between GAC Energy and Confucius Institute in Thailand
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- GAC Energy Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (“GAC Energy”) recently announced the signing of a framework cooperation agreement with the Confucius Institute at Mahasarakham University in Mahasarakham Province, Thailand. This partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities in Thailand.

GAC Energy, a subsidiary of GAC Group, specializes in energy facilities and services, with a focus on establishing a robust network of EV charging infrastructure in Thailand. With its advanced ultra-fast charging technology and extensive experience in infrastructure construction, GAC Energy is driving the “100 Cities, 1,000 Charging Piles” initiative. The company has already set up and is operating 19 fast-charging stations in Thailand, with plans to expand to 200 super charging stations with 1,000 chargers in 100 cities by 2028.
As part of the agreement, the Confucius Institute at Mahasarakham University will facilitate the connection between GAC Energy and site resources at its location and 18 other Confucius Institutes across Thailand. Together, they will collaborate on building EV charging stations. GAC Energy will initially invest in and install 100 Aion AC smart charging stations, with future expansion in the pipeline to meet growing demand.
