Avatr Technology, a subsidiary of Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has introduced the updated Avatr 11, expanding its lineup to include extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants for the SUV segment. This marks the second model from Avatr to offer both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and EREV options, with a starting price of RMB 279,900 ($38,480).

The Avatr 11, following the Avatr 07 SUV, is equipped with the latest technologies and features to cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles in China. The SUV, which measures 4895 mm in length, 1970 mm in width, and 1601 mm in height, boasts a wheelbase of 2975 mm.

The EREV variants of the Avatr 11 are available in two options, priced at RMB 279,900 and RMB 299,900 respectively. On the other hand, the BEV variants come in three options with starting prices of RMB 339,900, RMB 369,900, and RMB 429,900. The EREV models are powered by the Freevoy battery from CATL, featuring a capacity of 39.05 kWh and a range of 225 kilometers. The Avatr 11 EREV is built on the Kunlun extended-range system, ensuring optimal performance in various weather conditions.

In terms of performance, the Avatr 11 EREV models are single-motor, rear-wheel drive vehicles capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour. The BEV variants, powered by a Li-ion ternary battery pack from CATL, offer impressive ranges and performance capabilities. The entry-level BEV variant is a single-motor rear-wheel drive model with a range of up to 815 kilometers, while the dual-motor four-wheel drive models provide a range of 760 kilometers.
