Alpine Confirms Plans for a Supercar as Flagship of Dream Garage

Alpine CEO Philippe Krief has revealed exciting plans to crown the range with a supercar that will serve as the flagship of its “dream garage”. Krief hinted that this supercar will be the culmination of the brand’s ambitious range roll-out and will be a key focus for the company moving forward.

While the launch of the supercar is still in the works, Krief outlined a three-stage process for its development. The first stage involves a “brand exercise”, followed by a “tech showcase”, and finally culminating in a “business” phase. This strategic approach aims to position Alpine as a French sports specialist brand with a strong focus on electric technology.

As part of this vision, Alpine has already unveiled a pure concept supercar called the Alpenglow in 2022, followed by a hydrogen-combustion technology showcase version known as the Alpenglow Hy4. The production model, tentatively named the Future Alpine Supercar, is set to continue this innovative trend.

Alpine’s Head of Product, Sovany Ang, emphasized the brand’s commitment to retaining accessibility and targeting specific segments where it makes the most sense. This approach sets Alpine apart from traditional volume or premium car makers, as it aims to carve out a unique niche in the market.

Looking ahead, Alpine is expanding its dealer network to around 140 locations globally by the end of the year. The brand is also breaking out of France with the establishment of flagship facilities in Barcelona, London, and Paris. These new locations will offer more than just car sales, with e-sports and sim racing areas, as well as bars and restaurants, creating a unique customer experience.

In terms of product lineup, Krief confirmed that the current A110 will cease production in 2026 due to regulatory changes. The limited-edition A110 R Ultime, priced at £276,000 and limited to 110 units, has already proven popular, with 95% of its production run sold within two months of its debut at the Paris Motor Show.
