The Cupra Born VZ is the latest addition to the Volkswagen Group’s lineup, offering a thrilling driving experience in the form of an e-GTI. Despite the controversies surrounding Volkswagen, the VZ version of the Cupra Born stands out as a great model in its segment.

With an appearance package that enhances its sporty look, the VZ version of the Born features signature copper-colored accents, bespoke side skirts, bumpers, and eye-catching 20-inch wheels. The powertrain of the VZ benefits from the latest motors and batteries from the Volkswagen Group, resulting in increased outputs of 240 kW (326 PS) and 545 Nm of torque, along with a 79 kWh battery pack.

One of the notable upgrades in the VZ model is the addition of three levels of braking regeneration, controlled via paddles, providing smooth deceleration without any jerking. The suspension and steering settings have been fine-tuned to enhance the overall driving experience, making the VZ an outstanding performer on the road.

Inside, the VZ boasts a more premium interior with VZ-specific sports seats, illuminated sliders for volumes and HVAC temperature controls, and a larger touchscreen display. The overall look and feel of the cabin exude quality, with soft yet durable recycled upholstery adding a touch of luxury.

The driving dynamics of the VZ are impressive, with the car offering a smooth and safe ride even on slippery roads. The addition of an ‘e-Boost’ button provides an extra 20 kW of power for a quick acceleration time of 5.6 seconds from 0 to 62 mph.

While the VZ excels in many aspects, one area for improvement could be the limited color choices available. Despite this minor drawback, the VZ remains a top contender in the EV segment, offering a spacious interior, impressive performance, and a claimed range of up to 372 miles.

Looking ahead, Cupra’s lineup is expanding with new EV models like the Tavascan coupé-SUV, further solidifying the brand’s position in the market. With the success of models like the Born VZ, Cupra is poised to continue its growth and innovation in the electric vehicle market.

In conclusion, the Cupra Born VZ is a standout EV that offers a thrilling driving experience, impressive performance, and a premium interior. With its cutting-edge technology and dynamic design, the VZ sets a high standard for electric vehicles in its class.
