Nio, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, saw a significant increase in the usage of its battery swap service in November. A total of 27,121 Nio users utilized the battery swap service for the first time during the month, highlighting the growing popularity of this convenient technology.

The company added 120 new battery swap stations in China in November, bringing the total number of facilities to 2,741 as of November 30. These new stations are part of Nio’s latest fourth-generation battery swap stations, with 23 of them strategically located along highways for easy accessibility.

With a total of 2,744 battery swap stations now available in China, Nio continues to expand its infrastructure to support its customers. In fact, from January to November, Nio added a total of 424 battery swap stations in the country, demonstrating its commitment to providing convenient and efficient services to EV owners.

Currently, 80.3 percent of Nio owners can find a battery swap station within 3 kilometers of their home or office, ensuring that access to this service is readily available. In November alone, Nio provided 2,318,053 battery swaps, averaging 77,268 swaps per day. Each Nio user used the battery swap service four times on average in November, with each swap taking approximately three minutes to complete.

Nio estimates that the battery swap service saved each user 3 hours and 48 minutes per month compared to traditional charging methods. By the end of November, Nio had provided over 59 million battery swap services to its customers, underscoring the popularity and demand for this innovative technology.

In addition to the battery swap service, Nio also offers charging services to its customers. The company added 389 charging piles in November, bringing the total number of charging stations in China to 4,142 by the end of the month. Nio provided 1,950,095 charging services in November and has cumulatively provided more than 50 million charging services to date.

Furthermore, Nio has conducted 9,832 battery upgrades in November, bringing the total number of upgrades to 328,809. The company’s commitment to expanding its services and infrastructure is evident in its efforts to provide a seamless and efficient experience for its customers.

In a strategic move, Nio recently announced a partnership with hotel operator Wanda Hotels & Resorts to collaborate on environmental, social, and governance initiatives, as well as green mobility and EV infrastructure layouts. This partnership reflects Nio’s dedication to sustainability and innovation in the electric vehicle industry.

Overall, Nio’s continued expansion of its battery swap and charging services, along with strategic partnerships like the one with Wanda Hotels & Resorts, position the company as a leader in the EV market. With a focus on convenience, efficiency, and sustainability, Nio is paving the way for the future of electric mobility in China and beyond.
