Great Wall Motor’s TANK brand has recently launched pre-sales for the TANK 500 Hi4-Z, an exciting addition to the TANK 500 lineup. Priced at 379,800 yuan, this new model offers a unique red-and-white gradient paint finish called “Yi Ding Hong,” symbolizing its vibrant color and anticipated success in the market.

The TANK 500 Hi4-Z comes equipped with the advanced Hi4-Z hybrid architecture, making it a versatile option for various off-road environments. This hybrid system features a high-performance PHEV engine, dual high-power electric motors, and a large-capacity battery, providing extended range, fast charging capabilities, powerful performance, and high efficiency.

With a 59.05kWh battery, the TANK 500 Hi4-Z offers a battery-powered range of over 200 kilometers under the WLTC cycle. Utilizing an 800V architecture, the vehicle can be charged at a maximum power of 163kW, allowing for a 120-kilometer range in just 15 minutes of fast charging.

The model adopts a “three-speed DHT + dual-motor” distributed layout, addressing the issue of inadequate wheel-end torque under heavy loads when using power splitting. By employing power splitting technology, the TANK 500 Hi4-Z achieves natural energy distribution, resulting in improved overall efficiency.

Great Wall Motor boasts a 65% market share in China’s off-road SUV market, with TANK vehicles selling 209,000 units in the first 11 months of the year, representing a 44% year-on-year increase. The TANK 300, the brand’s top-selling model, contributed around 90,000 units to this impressive sales figure.

Overall, the TANK 500 Hi4-Z combines cutting-edge hybrid technology with a striking design to offer consumers a powerful and efficient off-road driving experience. As Great Wall Motor continues to innovate and expand its TANK brand, the future looks bright for off-road enthusiasts looking for a reliable and high-performance SUV option.
