The 2025 Toyota Tundra is Toyota’s flagship full-size truck, offering a variety of powerful V-6 powertrains, including a hybrid option. While it may not have the same breadth of offerings as competitors like the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Chevy/GMC trucks, the Tundra lineup still provides enough variety to satisfy most buyers.

In terms of performance, the 2025 Tundra is a solid choice. It boasts ample power, a smooth ride, and an impressive towing capacity of 12,000 pounds. While it may not have the most advanced infotainment technology or four-wheel-drive systems, it still holds its own in the truck market. On the TCC scale, the 2025 Tundra receives a rating of 6.7 out of 10.

For the 2025 model year, Toyota has introduced several new options for the Tundra. The SR5 trim now comes with an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat with power lumbar support. Additionally, new options include a power tailgate with knee lift assist, front seat massagers, and a Tow Tech Package with an antenna and wifi trailer camera. The TRD Pro-exclusive color for this year is called Mudbath, and there is also a new TRD Rally package available.

The Tundra’s design is bold and distinctive, with a blocky exterior and a chunky dashboard that mirrors the outside angles. The TRD Pro models feature LED running lights that enhance the truck’s rugged appearance. The 1794 Edition trim offers a more refined interior with distinctive leather upholstery.

In terms of powertrains, the 2025 Tundra offers two options: a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 with either 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque or a hybrid version with a combined 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid model also boasts a maximum combined fuel economy of 22 mpg.

The Tundra’s ride quality is impressive, thanks to rear coil springs that provide a settled feel on the road. Higher trims can be equipped with an air suspension for an even more comfortable ride, while TRD Pro models come with Fox shocks for off-road adventures.

Overall, the 2025 Toyota Tundra is a well-rounded truck that offers a good balance of power, comfort, and capability. With a range of trims and options to choose from, there is likely a Tundra model to suit every buyer’s needs.
