Xiaomi EV Celebrates Delivery Milestone of SU7 Electric Sedan
Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle arm of Xiaomi, has reached a significant milestone with the delivery of over 130,000 units of its popular SU7 electric sedan. This achievement comes as the SU7 marks its one-year anniversary since its debut.
The company announced that it has not only met but exceeded its delivery targets for the year, showcasing the growing demand for their electric vehicles. Xiaomi EV’s factory is now gearing up to increase production and accelerate deliveries in the coming year.
The SU7 made its official debut on December 28, 2023, with Xiaomi’s founder Lei Jun unveiling its core specifications. The company set ambitious goals to become one of the top five global car manufacturers within 20 years.
Following its launch in March 2024, the SU7 was made available in three versions – Standard, Pro, and Max – with competitive starting prices. Deliveries of these models began in April and continued throughout the year.
During a quarterly earnings call in May, Xiaomi announced its target of delivering at least 100,000 units in 2024, with a stretch goal of 120,000 units. By November, the company had surpassed the 100,000 mark and set a new target of 130,000 units for the year.
The success of the SU7 has paved the way for future models from Xiaomi EV, including the more powerful SU7 Ultra and the YU7 SUV. The SU7 Ultra is already available for pre-sales in China, with an official launch scheduled for March 2025.
In addition, Xiaomi recently unveiled the YU7 as its second EV model, set to launch in mid-2025. These new models demonstrate Xiaomi’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup and catering to the growing demand for sustainable transportation options.
With the delivery milestone of the SU7 and the promising future of upcoming models, Xiaomi EV is well-positioned to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market. As the company continues to innovate and expand its offerings, we can expect to see more exciting developments from Xiaomi in the world of electric vehicles.
