SAIC Volkswagen Unveils Vehicle Launch Plans for 2025

SAIC Volkswagen recently announced its ambitious vehicle launch plans for 2025, with a focus on introducing new models and refreshed versions of existing ones. The company is set to bring the Teramont PRO, refreshed Lavida and Lamando L models, the Audi A5L Sportback, and the first battery electric vehicle (BEV) under the AUDI brand to the market.

Teramont PRO, Lavida, and Lamando L Refreshed Versions

In 2025, SAIC Volkswagen will continue to cater to the oil-fueled vehicle segment with the launch of the Teramont PRO, refreshed Lavida, and Lamando L models. The Teramont PRO boasts a striking design with a semi-closed grille, integrated headlights, and sleek black trims. The vehicle features hidden door handles for a streamlined profile and impressive dimensions of 5,158mm in length, 1,991mm in width, and 1,788mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,980mm. Inside, the Teramont PRO offers a digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen, and is powered by the fifth-generation EA888 engine with up to 200 kW of power.

Audi A5L Sportback

The Audi A5L Sportback, designed exclusively for the Chinese market, maintains the Sportback coupe silhouette of its global counterpart. The model features a sleek and dynamic design with an 11.9-inch digital instrument display, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, and a 10.9-inch passenger-side display. Powered by the fifth-generation EA888 Evo 2.0T engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, the A5L Sportback delivers a maximum power output of 200 kW.

First BEV Model under the AUDI Brand

The all-new BEV model under the AUDI brand, developed by Audi and SAIC Motor, is set to hit the market in mid-2025. The vehicle showcases a new design language with through-type headlights, a closed front grille, and a sleek side profile with hidden door handles. The interior features a minimalist design with a full-width screen. Powered by a 100kWh ternary lithium battery pack and an 800V architecture, the BEV model offers a range of over 700 kilometers under CLTC conditions and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Equipped with electric motors on both front and rear axles, air suspension, LiDAR, and advanced intelligent driving systems, the AUDI BEV model promises a futuristic driving experience.
