The Hongqi EHS7, known as the Hongqi Tiangong 08 in China, has made its debut in the European market with pre-sales starting at the Paris Motor Show. This electric SUV is built on the Tiangong modular platform and offers five different versions with prices ranging from 239,800 yuan to 339,800 yuan. The car is positioned as a medium to large pure electric SUV, catering to the European market.

Measuring 4925 mm in length, 1950 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of three meters, the EHS7 is part of Hongqi’s New Energy range. The design of the car reflects the integration of Chinese beauty, with distinct features like headlight clusters resembling the number 7 at the front and rear. The car comes in six nature-inspired colors, adding to its unique appeal.

The interior of the Hongqi EHS7 is a departure from traditional EV designs, featuring a sculpted 15.5-inch infotainment screen that seamlessly blends into a 6-inch instrument screen. The car is equipped with an AI voice system using iFlytek’s Smart TTS technology, offering a high level of intelligent experience comparable to top-tier competitors.

Surprisingly, the car offers interior color combinations in mauve, electric blue, and grey, providing a range of choices for customers. Heating and ventilation are standard for both front and rear seats, with a massage function available only for the driver’s seat. The trunk space is ample, with 643 liters of storage expandable to 2050 liters.

In terms of battery options, the Hongqi Tiangong 08 is available with 75 kWh, 85 kWh, and 111 kWh battery packs. The range varies depending on the battery size, with fast charging capabilities ranging from 20 to 25 minutes. The car is equipped with a 253 kW electric motor on the rear axle, providing up to 450 Nm of torque. Dual motor versions offer a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

The EHS7 is set to be exported, with European pre-sales already underway. The specifications for the overseas market are yet to be revealed, but the car is expected to make a significant impact in the European EV market. Overall, the Hongqi EHS7 offers a blend of cutting-edge technology, luxurious interior, and impressive performance, making it a compelling choice for electric SUV enthusiasts.
