New KGM Actyon SUV is 161bhp Skoda Kodiaq rival

The latest addition to the KGM lineup, the Actyon, has made its grand entrance in Europe at the renowned Brussels motor show. This new model is a sleeker and more stylish version of the popular Torres SUV, with distinctive design elements that set it apart from its sibling.

One of the key differences is the Actyon’s unique roofline and revamped front and rear ends, which combine features from both the petrol Torres and the electric EVX model. The daytime-running lights have been redesigned to mirror those of the Torres, but now come with low-set main-beam headlights. Additionally, the chunky grille from the Torres has been replaced by a modern LED light bar inspired by the EVX.

Moving to the rear of the vehicle, the traditionally vertically stacked brake lights have been replaced with slim, horizontally mounted units to create a more streamlined and sophisticated appearance. Inside the cabin, the Actyon features the same cutting-edge 12.3-inch infotainment and digital instrument screens found in the Torres.

Under the hood, the Actyon will initially be equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, delivering 161bhp and 207lb ft of torque while achieving a fuel efficiency of 33.1mpg. This powertrain is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox sourced from renowned Japanese manufacturer Aisin.

While KGM has not yet confirmed the availability of other powertrains, it is highly likely that the 204bhp and 287-mile-range system from the Torres EVX will be introduced to the Actyon lineup following the launch of the petrol variant. Customers in the UK can expect deliveries to commence next month, with prices anticipated to start slightly above the £31,995 mark of the Torres. The Actyon aims to offer a competitive alternative to similarly sized SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq and Honda CR-V.

With its blend of style, performance, and technology, the KGM Actyon is set to make a significant impact in the European SUV market. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new model.
