The new Aston Martin Vantage Roadster has undergone a significant upgrade, making it one of the most powerful drop-top sports cars currently available on the market. The extensive overhaul of the V8 engine includes new cam profiles, larger turbos, tweaked compression ratios, and improved cooling. Aston Martin has also fine-tuned the eight-speed automatic gearbox for faster gear changes and more responsive in-gear acceleration. The result is a car that can rival the outgoing 690bhp V12 Vantage Roadster, the most powerful convertible ever produced by Aston Martin.
To enhance driving dynamics, the aluminium chassis has been reinforced, maintaining a near-50:50 weight distribution. The suspension setup includes double wishbones at the front and multi-link at the rear, with the rear end now up to 29% stiffer under load. Bespoke-tuned Bilstein DRX adaptive dampers further improve responsiveness and handling, providing drivers with enhanced feedback and control.
