The BYD Tang L model has recently been featured in a catalogue released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). This vehicle boasts a unique design with split headlights, sharp daytime running lights, and a closed-off grille adorned with a chrome strip displaying the Chinese character “唐” (Tang), representing the brand’s distinctive style.

The side profile of the BYD Tang L is characterized by an elongated and streamlined body, incorporating hidden door handles for a futuristic aesthetic and enhanced aerodynamic performance. At the rear, a light strip spans the width of the car, adding to its modern appeal.

With dimensions of 5,040mm in length, 1,996mm in width, and 1,760mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,950mm, the BYD Tang L offers a spacious three-row, seven-seat layout.

In terms of technology, the Tang L can be equipped with optional LiDAR sensors for advanced intelligent driving capabilities. Additionally, it offers an optional rooftop drone from DJI and various features such as different wheel sizes and a roof rack for added customization.

The BYD Tang L is available in both Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) versions. The PHEV variant combines a 1.5T engine with an electric motor, delivering maximum outputs of 115 kW and 200 kW, respectively, along with three battery range options.

On the other hand, the BEV version offers single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor variant boasts a powerful 500 kW output, while the dual-motor version provides 230 kW at the front and 580 kW at the rear, enabling impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

With its innovative design, advanced technology features, and environmentally friendly electric powertrain options, the BYD Tang L stands out as a compelling choice for consumers looking for a stylish and high-performance electric vehicle.
