French auto giant Renault Group has reported a 1.3% increase in global sales volume for 2024, selling a total of 2.26 million vehicles. The company’s Renault brand saw a 1.8% increase in sales, reaching 1,577,351 vehicles globally, up from 1,548,748 in 2023. Additionally, the Dacia brand experienced a 2.7% increase in sales, with global sales rising to 676,340 units.

The Alpine brand reported sales of 4,585 vehicles, an increase of 5.9% compared to the previous year. The company’s strong performance in Europe, with a 3.5% rise in sales, was attributed to new model launches. In Europe, Renault Group sold 1.6 million cars.

France remained the leading market for the group, with over 541,000 vehicles sold, capturing a 25.8% market share. Italy, Turkey, Spain, and Germany also featured as top markets contributing to the group’s European success. Electric vehicles represented 9% of Renault Group’s total sales in Europe, with hybrid vehicles accounting for 25.5% of sales.

Outside of Europe, the Renault Group saw growth in South Korea, where sales increased by 80.6%, attributed to the launch of the Grand Koleos SUV. In Brazil, sales went up by 10.3%, driven by the Kardian model. At the end of December 2024, the group held orders for two months of forecast sales in Europe and plans to launch seven new models this year.

Overall, Renault Group’s performance in 2024 reflects a positive trend in global sales, with a focus on innovation and market expansion to drive continued growth in the automotive industry.
