GreenPower sells 11 more of its BEAST electric school bus

GreenPower Motor Company recently announced that it has received orders for 11 of its BEAST electric Type D school buses for school districts in the western United States. The orders come from districts in Arizona, California, and Oregon, showing a growing interest in transitioning to cleaner, more sustainable transportation options for students.

Unlike some of its competitors who have faced financial challenges, GreenPower seems to be steadily moving forward, fulfilling orders and delivering electric buses to schools. The company’s latest orders include seven buses for Los Banos Unified School District in California, two for Hood River County School District in Oregon, and two for Casa Grande Elementary School District in Arizona. These buses will join the 90-passenger BEAST that was delivered to Phoenix Elementary School District #1 in Phoenix last year.

Paul Start, GreenPower’s Vice President of Sales, School Bus Group, highlighted the shift towards cleaner transportation options in school districts, emphasizing the company’s all-electric, purpose-built BEAST school buses as the industry’s gold standard. With a record number of orders and a production schedule at peak levels, GreenPower is poised for a successful year ahead.

GreenPower recently expanded to an 80,000-square-foot production facility in West Virginia, where it delivered its first buses to the state. The company’s dedication to producing electric school buses aligns with the growing demand for sustainable solutions in the transportation sector.

In an industry where startups come and go, GreenPower’s focus on delivering actual units rather than making grand promises sets it apart. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, companies that prioritize production and delivery are more likely to succeed in the long run.
