Citroen C4 Review 2025, Price & Specs

Citroën’s latest offering, the C4, is positioned as a comfortable yet versatile option for drivers looking for a vehicle that falls somewhere between a hatchback and an SUV. The medium-high driving position may not suit everyone’s preferences, with some finding it too low while others find it too high.

One of the key updates in the facelifted C4 is the introduction of new ‘Advance Comfort’ seats that boast 15% more padding than their predecessors. These seats are designed to not only look comfortable but also provide a higher level of comfort for the driver and passengers. While they offer improved lateral support and comfort compared to competitors like the Kia Stonic or Skoda Kamiq, some may find the padding in the upper back area to be a bit firm and lacking in under-thigh support. Additionally, the manual adjustment of the seats may make finding the perfect seating position a bit more challenging.

In terms of interior space, the C4 offers average room for both the driver and rear passengers. While Citroën claims class-leading rear knee room, this may only be achievable with the front seats pushed all the way forward. The boot space, at 380 litres, is also in line with competitors in its segment, making it a compact yet practical option for everyday use.

The cabin features an unconventional instrument and infotainment layout that may take some getting used to, but overall offers good clarity and ease of use. The 7-inch digital instrument screen provides essential information, while the 10-inch infotainment system, with updated software, offers wireless smartphone mirroring and charging capabilities. The navigation system is straightforward and easy to use, with clear directions and voice command functionality.

While the material fit and finish in the cabin may be a bit mixed, with some harder and rougher moldings present in high-touch areas, the overall aesthetic is pleasing. However, the extensive use of gloss black plastic may be prone to showing fingerprints and dirt easily.

Overall, the Citroën C4 offers a comfortable and practical driving experience with a unique blend of hatchback and SUV features. While some aspects may not be to everyone’s liking, such as the seating position and interior materials, it remains a competitive option in its segment.
