What’s New for 2025: Volvo

  • The 2025.5 Volvo XC90 lineup includes three models:

    • The XC90 T6 has all-wheel drive and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, starting at $61,995
    • The XC90 T8 is also all-wheel drive with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, starting at $70,995
    • All versions of the XC90 can seat up to seven passengers

    Volvo’s renewed commitment to electrification is evident in its 2025 lineup, with multiple EVs and plug-in hybrid options for consumers. The brand’s focus on efficiency, range, and technology showcases its dedication to providing sustainable and innovative vehicles for the future. With the upcoming launch of the EX60 in 2026, Volvo continues to pave the way for a more electric vehicle-driven future.

    The 2025 Volvo EX40 is an exciting addition to the lineup, offering an electric version of the popular XC40 crossover. This model comes with a choice of either rear-wheel drive with a 296-mile range or dual-motor all-wheel drive with a 260-mile range. The single-motor models are equipped with an 82-kwh battery pack, while the dual-motor models have a slightly smaller 78-kwh pack. DC fast-charging rates have been improved, now reaching up to 205 kw.

    In terms of performance, the single-motor RWD model delivers 248 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, while the dual-motor AWD model boasts an impressive 402 hp and 494 lb-ft of torque. The EX40 is available in Core, Plus, and Ultra trims, with the dual-motor model costing just $1,750 more in each trim level.

    Moving on to pricing, the EX40 starts at $53,795 for the Core trim, with the Plus and Ultra trims priced at $56,595 and $60,295 respectively. The dual-motor model is a worthwhile upgrade, offering enhanced performance for a relatively small additional cost.

    Overall, the 2025 Volvo EX40 is a great option for those looking to make the switch to electric without compromising on style, performance, or range. With its impressive specifications and competitive pricing, it’s sure to be a popular choice among eco-conscious consumers.
