2025 Polestar 2 Review: Prices, Specs, and Photos

The 2025 Polestar 2 is an electric hatchback manufactured by Volvo’s subsidiary, Polestar. This sleek and stylish vehicle can be compared to popular electric cars such as the Tesla Model 3, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Kia EV6.

While the Polestar 2 is a refined choice in the electric car market, it may not be the top pick for everyone. Some reviewers have noted that its interior feels somewhat cramped, and its tall-hatchback profile may not align with the preferences of U.S. buyers. Despite these drawbacks, the Polestar 2 still manages to earn a respectable TCC Rating of 7.5 out of 10.

For the 2025 model year, the Polestar 2 is offered in a single configuration featuring a long-range, dual-motor setup with 476 horsepower and a 254-mile range. This version of the Polestar 2 is the fastest yet, capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. However, potential buyers should be aware that there may not be other versions of the Polestar 2 available in 2025, as Polestar shifts its focus to the Polestar 3 crossover and the more affordable Polestar 4 sedan.

The Polestar 2’s Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack specification includes front- and rear-mounted motors that deliver a thrilling driving experience with firm suspension and agile handling. While the ride quality may feel choppy at times, the Polestar 2’s performance on the road is undeniably fun and engaging.

In terms of safety, the Polestar 2 boasts top-notch crash-test ratings and comes equipped with a range of standard safety features, including automatic emergency braking, active lane control, and blind-spot monitors. The car also offers advanced driver-assist technologies like adaptive cruise control and a surround-view camera system.

The starting price for the 2025 Polestar 2 is $66,200, which includes features such as power-adjustable and heated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Buyers can opt for nappa leather upholstery for an additional $4,000.

The 2025 Polestar 2 is manufactured in Luqiao, China, maintaining the high standards of quality and craftsmanship associated with the Polestar brand. Overall, while the Polestar 2 may not be the perfect electric car for everyone, it offers a compelling mix of performance, style, and advanced technology for those who appreciate its unique attributes.
