Li Auto Unveils New Images of Its All-Electric SUV Li i8

Li Auto, a major player in the Chinese extended-range electric vehicle market, has recently shared new images of its first all-electric SUV model, the Li i8. The latest images showcase the side profile of the Li i8 and also provide a comparison with Tesla’s Model X.

In the newly released images, the Li i8 appears to be longer and taller than the Model X, suggesting that it may offer more interior space. The front end of the Li i8 bears some similarities to the Model X, with a relatively short front overhang.

Li Auto is known for its L-series extended-range electric vehicles, including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9, all of which are SUVs. The company also recently launched the Li Mega MPV, its first battery electric vehicle.

The naming convention of Li Auto’s models provides some insight into the seating layout of the Li i8. The less expensive Li L6 and Li L7 are two-row five-seaters, while the Li L8 and Li L9 are three-row, six-seaters. The “L” in the model names stands for “Leading,” while the “i” in all-electric SUV models represents “intelligence,” according to Li Xiang, the company’s founder, chairman, and CEO.

The announcement of the Li i8 has generated significant investor interest, leading to a surge in Li Auto’s share price. The company’s stock rose by 12.52 percent following the unveiling of the Li i8 and continued to climb by 4.6 percent in Hong Kong, bringing its year-to-date gain to 32 percent.

Overall, the Li i8 represents a significant step forward for Li Auto in the all-electric SUV market. With its spacious interior and sleek design, the Li i8 is poised to compete with other electric SUVs in the market. Stay tuned for more updates on Li Auto’s latest developments in the electric vehicle industry.
