Chery’s EXEED Celebrates Production Milestone at Qingdao Smart Manufacturing Plant
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chery’s EXEED brand marked a significant achievement on February 25, 2025, as the 100,000th unit of the Yaoguang SUV model rolled off the production line at its Qingdao Smart Manufacturing Plant.

The Yaoguang series, available in both plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and traditional gasoline versions, has gained popularity since its launch. The Yaoguang C-DM Chaoyue Edition, known for its advanced technology and luxurious features, has been particularly well-received.

The Yaoguang C-DM, a standout in the lineup, is a PHEV powered by a 1.5TGDI hybrid engine, dual electric motors, and a 3-speed DHT transmission. With a total output of 280 kW and peak torque of 610 Nm, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, balancing power and efficiency.
With a 100-km battery-powered range and a combined range of 1,400 km on a full charge and tank, the Yaoguang C-DM meets both urban commuting needs and long-distance travel. It boasts a fuel consumption of just 5.4L/100 km, enhancing cost-effectiveness.
The success of the Yaoguang family can be attributed to EXEED’s Qingdao Super Smart Factory, known for its integration of digitalization, green manufacturing, and lean processes.
