Mercedes-Benz has some exciting launches lined up for the next few years, with the CLA Shooting Brake wagon set to be revealed soon. This new model will initially debut in electric form, with a petrol variant expected to follow in late 2025. The CLA Shooting Brake will share drivetrains with the CLA saloon, offering a blend of performance and practicality.

Another highly anticipated release in 2025 will be the successor to Mercedes’ first production electric vehicle, the EQC SUV. The new model will be an electric version of the second-generation GLC, which is slated to make its debut at the Munich motor show in September. This electric SUV will rival popular models like the Audi Q6 E-tron, BMW iX3, and Porsche Macan, featuring an 800V electric architecture and offering both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.

The electric GLC will be underpinned by the MB:EA Medium platform, which it shares with the upcoming 2026 electric C-Class. Customers can expect a choice of lithium-iron-phosphate and NMC batteries, providing impressive ranges of around 400 and 500 miles respectively. Production of the electric GLC will take place at Mercedes’ Tuscaloosa factory in the US, with a high-performance GLE 53 variant rumored to deliver up to 600bhp.

Before the end of 2025, Mercedes will also unveil the new GLB, which promises to be a significant improvement over the current model. The third model based on the MMA platform, the new GLB will offer both electric and petrol drivetrains to compete with models like the Audi Q3/Q4 and BMW X1/iX1. Test mules indicate that the new GLB will be slightly larger than its predecessor, with a focus on interior space and storage.

The new GLB will set the stage for Mercedes’ ‘Little G’, scheduled for release in 2027. This model represents an evolution in the brand’s lineup, offering customers a compact yet versatile option. With a blend of electric and petrol variants, Mercedes is poised to continue its legacy of innovation and luxury in the automotive industry.
