FAW Jiefang Expands into Australian Market with MoU Signing

Beijing (Gasgoo)- FAW Jiefang, the commercial vehicle arm of FAW Group, took a significant step towards expanding its presence in the Australian market by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an Australian dealer in Changchun city on March 4.

The collaboration with the Australian dealer is in line with FAW Jiefang’s “SPRINT2030” globalization strategy, which aims to strengthen its international presence.

Australia, particularly in the road transport sector, is a key market for FAW Jiefang due to its substantial market capacity. The partnership is expected to boost FAW Jiefang’s footprint in the region by leveraging its brand advantages to establish a comprehensive service and support system, ensuring professional and efficient service for local customers.

In December 2024, FAW Jiefang unveiled its “SPRINT2030” global strategy, which includes ambitious goals for future marketing efforts and development. The company aims to achieve annual sales of 330,000 vehicles in 2025, with 80,000 units in overseas markets and 46,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs).

The “SPRINT2030” strategy sets even more ambitious targets for 2030, with a goal of reaching annual global vehicle sales of 500,000 units, including 180,000 units from overseas markets, accounting for 36% of the total.
