Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate 2023-2024 Review 2025, Price & Specs

The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is a true masterpiece in terms of ride and handling. The enhanced stiffness of the chassis is immediately noticeable during turn-in, with no hesitation in the response as you guide the steering wheel. This improvement can be attributed to the removal of a rubber damper from the steering column, which has paradoxically improved steering feel and accuracy.

Simon Newton, Aston’s head of vehicle engineering, believes that the revised damping has also played a role in reducing the occasional road shocks sent up the rack. This heightened control and pliancy in the chassis seamlessly blend with the powertrain’s performance, allowing you to fully exploit the V12 engine without encountering immediate traction control interference.

During the 770 Ultimate’s 18-month development period, several fine-tuning elements were added to enhance the driving experience. The torque interruption during gearshifts is now shorter, and the transmission ‘double-bump’ has been eliminated, resulting in smoother acceleration and gear changes. The car now pulls out of T-junctions with seamless ease, providing a more enjoyable driving experience.

The 770 Ultimate’s steering is more concentrated and accurate, offering a firm yet smooth ride at any speed. Whether you’re cruising at 20mph or pushing the car to its limits at 120mph, the iron-fist-in-a-velvet-glove gait of the DBS 770 Ultimate is truly appreciable.

Overall, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is a remarkable combination of power, handling, and drivability. It is a testament to Aston Martin’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the world of luxury sports cars.
