Autoliv and JMC Forge Strategic Partnership to Drive Innovation in Vehicle Safety Systems

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 11, global Auto parts supplier Autoliv and Chinese automaker Jiangling Motors Corporation (“JMC”) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Nanchang city, the capital of China’s Jiangxi province, solidifying a long-term partnership aimed at integrating resources, sharing technologies, and fostering collaboration to advance their presence in the global automotive industry, according to a post on Autoliv’s WeChat account.

As China’s automobile market continues its rapid growth, trends in intelligentization, electrification, and digitalization are driving a transformation across the global industry, making overseas market expansion increasingly imperative. As a global leader in automotive safety systems with multiple R&D and production centers worldwide, Autoliv is joining forces with JMC to explore new opportunities in global markets. The partnership includes establishing a robust and efficient supply chain to bolster their competitive edge internationally.

The collaboration will also focus on innovation in vehicle safety systems. By deepening R&D efforts, the two companies aim to develop intelligent safety technologies that meet future market demands, enhancing product competitiveness and delivering safer, more comfortable driving experiences to consumers worldwide.

Autoliv and JMC have shared a 27-year history of cooperation. Mikael Bratt, President and CEO of Autoliv, emphasized that the fresh strategic partnership underscores Autoliv’s commitment to a long-term collaboration with JMC. He added that the companies will work together to advance automotive safety, bringing cutting-edge technologies to market and redefining safety and comfort for road users globally.
