Avatr, the luxury car brand, is set to launch its fourth model, the Avatr 06, in the second quarter of 2025. Previously known as the E16, this sedan is expected to have a starting price of around 250,000 yuan (approximately 34,150 USD). The Avatr 06 will be available in both all-electric and extended-range EV versions, with detailed information about the battery sizes and range now revealed.

The all-electric version of the Avatr 06 will come with a 72.88 kWh battery pack. This will give the single-motor version a range of 650 km, while the dual-motor version will have a range of 600 km using the CLTC measurement system. The electric motor on the rear axle will have a power output of 252 kW, with an additional 188 kW electric motor on the front axle for the dual-motor version.

On the other hand, the EREV versions of the Avatr 06 will be equipped with a 31.7 kWh battery pack, providing an all-electric range of 170 km. The powertrain for this version includes a 231 kW electric motor and a 1.5 T engine with a power output of 115 kW acting as a range extender.

It is worth noting that the Avatr 06’s battery capacities are slightly lower than those of the Avatr 07, which is an SUV model from the same brand. Both models share the same powertrain options, leading to the expectation of shared battery packs. All batteries used in the Avatr 06 are lithium iron phosphate and are sourced from CATL, the second largest shareholder in the Avatr brand after Changan.

The Avatr 06 has dimensions of 4855 mm in length, 1960 mm in width, and 1450 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2940 mm. It will be available in six different exterior colors and is based on the Avatr 2.0 concept design.

While details about the interior of the Avatr 06 are yet to be confirmed, it is anticipated to be similar to the Avatr 07. This includes features like a 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen and a wide 35.4-inch surround screen on the dashboard. Vehicles equipped with side view cameras will also have two 6.7-inch displays for those cameras, with Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.0 likely powering the system.

Overall, the Avatr 06 is shaping up to be a promising addition to the Avatr brand’s lineup, offering a blend of advanced technology, impressive performance, and luxurious design. Stay tuned for more updates on this upcoming sedan from Avatr.
