Avatr Technology, a prominent electric vehicle (EV) brand supported by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has officially unveiled the exclusive Avatr 012 model today. This limited-edition four-seater is based on the Avatr 12 electric sedan and is restricted to just 700 units worldwide, catering to a high-end demographic that appreciates style and luxury.

The Avatr 012 is priced starting at RMB 700,000 ($96,420), maintaining the same cost as the pre-sales offer from August last year. This price point is significantly higher than the Avatr 12’s base price of RMB 269,900 yuan. The collaboration between Avatr’s chief design officer Nader Faghihzadeh and renowned artistic directors Kim Jones from Dior and Fendi has resulted in a vehicle that exudes sophistication and elegance.

With dimensions measuring 5,020 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,469 mm in height, the Avatr 012 boasts a wheelbase of 3,020 mm. While sharing a similar body structure to the Avatr 12, this limited-edition model distinguishes itself through custom paintwork, unique interior elements, and exclusive features like its wheels.

Powered by Huawei’s DriveONE dual-motor system with a total output of 402 kW, the Avatr 012 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and can achieve a top speed of up to 220 km/h. The vehicle utilizes CATL’s Qilin Battery pack, supporting 5C fast charging that allows an 80 percent charge in as little as 10 minutes. With a battery capacity of 93.4 kWh, the Avatr 012 offers an impressive CLTC range of 650 kilometers.

Equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 driver assistance system, the Avatr 012 incorporates advanced smart driving functionalities, including Navigate on Autopilot in urban settings. Initially known as Changan Nio, Avatr was established in 2018 by Changan and Nio, with later involvement from CATL and Huawei. The brand’s emphasis on innovation and cutting-edge technology is evident in its collaboration with industry leaders to develop electric vehicles based on the co-created CHN architecture.

As Avatr continues to make strides in the EV market, the Avatr 012 stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to excellence and luxury in the electric vehicle sector. With its exclusive design, advanced technology, and impressive performance capabilities, the Avatr 012 sets a new standard for high-end electric vehicles.
