Avatr Technology, formerly known as Changan Nio, has recently joined Nio’s charging network, making it the 14th brand to do so. This partnership allows Avatr owners to access Nio Power’s charging piles through the Avatr App, offering a seamless and convenient charging experience.

Initially established as Changan Nio by Changan and Nio in 2018, Avatr has now integrated into Nio’s charging network following Nio’s exit from the joint venture. This collaboration signifies another step towards enhancing the charging infrastructure in China, as more companies partner with Nio to leverage its extensive charging network.

Nio’s charging network has always been open to other EV brands, and partnerships like this one aim to improve the overall charging experience for users. Previous collaborations with brands like Chery, Dongfeng M-Hero, Huawei HIMA, FAW Hongqi, and GAC Energy have further expanded Nio’s charging network, which currently boasts 2,442 supercharging stations and 1,660 destination charging stations in China.

Additionally, Nio’s battery swap stations, numbering 2,659 across China, offer a unique energy replenishment option for EV owners. In 2023, Changan and Nio partnered on battery swap services, marking Nio’s first external partner for its battery swap network. This collaboration focuses on standardizing battery swap services, network construction, R&D of battery swap-enabled models, and efficient battery asset management.

With Nio’s commitment to expanding its charging infrastructure and partnerships with various EV brands, the future of electric vehicle charging in China looks promising. Stay tuned for more updates on Nio’s charging network and partnerships.
