BAIC Group Achieves 3.5% Year-on-Year Increase in January Auto Sales

In the first month of 2025, Chinese automaker BAIC Group reported a total vehicle sales volume of approximately 120,000 units, showing a 3.5% year-on-year increase. This positive growth was highlighted in the company’s recent WeChat post on Feb. 10.

Wholly-owned passenger vehicle brands under the BAIC Group umbrella demonstrated exceptional performance, with January sales skyrocketing by an impressive 121.6% compared to the same period last year. Both the ARCFOX and BEIJING brands experienced significant year-on-year sales growth in January, showcasing the strength and popularity of these brands in the market.

Moreover, BAIC Group’s export volume exceeded 18,000 units in January, achieving a remarkable 20% year-on-year growth. This indicates the company’s successful expansion efforts on a global scale, as it continues to penetrate new markets and strengthen its presence internationally.

In the commercial vehicle sector, Foton Motor stood out with over 50,000 vehicles sold in January. The company’s diverse product lineup and commitment to quality have enabled it to meet the diverse needs of industries such as logistics, further solidifying its market share in the commercial vehicle segment.

BAIC Group’s joint ventures also experienced robust growth in January. Beijing Hyundai, for example, reported sales exceeding 16,000 units, marking a more than 10% increase year-on-year. This growth can be attributed to product enhancements and strategic marketing initiatives implemented by the company.

Overall, BAIC Group’s performance in January reflects its strong position in the automotive market, both domestically and internationally. With a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, the company continues to drive growth and success in the competitive auto industry.
