Baolong Automotive’s subsidiary, Xianglong Technology, has recently made a significant move by relocating its headquarters to University Park Road in Optics Valley of China, Wuhan city. This joint venture between Baolong Automotive and METOAK specializes in 3D binocular stereo vision technology and automotive robotics applications. With the company’s global intelligent driving R&D headquarters project settling in Optics Valley and the continuous growth of Xianglong Technology’s core team, the decision to move the headquarters to this strategic location was made to enhance Baolong Automotive’s ADAS R&D capabilities in Wuhan and leverage local R&D resources more effectively.

One of Xianglong Technology’s notable achievements is the successful integration of its binocular stereo vision system into Dongfeng Motor’s MHERO 917 model. This technology enables the vehicle to automatically recognize snowy road conditions in real-time, ensuring the chassis is always in the optimal off-road mode. During a recent freezing rain incident in Wuhan, many vehicles were stranded on the roads. The MHERO 917’s superior traversal capabilities on snowy roads, thanks to Xianglong Technology’s innovation, played a crucial role in assisting stranded car owners.

In collaboration with Baolong Automotive, Xianglong Technology completed the first in-car 8-megapixel trinocular project for a leading Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer, achieving mass production with millimeter-level measurement accuracy. The company has also developed a low-computation integrated machine that combines all-terrain road preview and ADAS technologies to provide automatic emergency braking for any obstacle, surpassing traditional solutions in recognition rates.

Looking ahead, Xianglong Technology plans to enhance its automotive-grade binocular stereo vision chips and further improve ADAS and road preview system capabilities. By capitalizing on the R&D resources of Baolong Automotive and METOAK, as well as the industrial advantages of Optics Valley of China, the company aims to seize opportunities and drive growth in the intelligent driving industry.

The innovative work of Xianglong Technology underscores the importance of cutting-edge technology in advancing automotive safety and driving experiences. As the company continues to push boundaries and collaborate with industry leaders, we can expect to see further advancements in intelligent driving solutions.
