Bentley Flying Spur Review 2025, Price & Specs

When it comes to luxury performance sedans, the Bentley Flying Spur Speed is in a league of its own. Its most direct competitor, the Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance, may have a formidable 791bhp V8-hybrid powertrain, but the Flying Spur Speed edges it out in terms of acceleration. With a 0-60mph time of just 3.2 seconds, the Bentley is quicker off the mark compared to the Mercedes’ 3.5 seconds. Even when compared to its coupe sibling, the Continental GT Speed, the Flying Spur Speed holds its own, coming in just a tenth of a second behind.

One of the standout features of the Flying Spur Speed is its dual personality, thanks to its electric assistance. In all-electric mode, the Bentley exudes a sense of serenity that is perfect for cruising around town. However, when you put your foot down, the powerful V8 engine comes to life, accompanied by a subtle electric torque-fill that enhances acceleration. The seamless integration of the two power sources sets the Flying Spur Speed apart from its competitors, offering a cleaner and more responsive driving experience.

While the acceleration of the Flying Spur Speed is impressive, its braking system leaves something to be desired. The regenerative braking feature gives the pedal a softer feel, which may not be as precise as one would expect from a performance-oriented luxury sedan. Additionally, the predictive braking system, which automatically slows the car down for traffic and roundabouts, can feel out of place in a car that is known for its intuitive sense of control.

Overall, the Bentley Flying Spur Speed is a standout performer in the luxury sedan segment. Its combination of power, luxury, and refinement make it a top choice for those who demand the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing drive around town or a thrilling burst of acceleration, the Flying Spur Speed delivers on all fronts. With its unique blend of performance and sophistication, it’s no wonder that the Flying Spur Speed is in a class of its own.
