The renowned luxury brand Bentley, owned by the Volkswagen Group, has unveiled its latest creation – the Batur Convertible. This bespoke masterpiece is the result of Mulliner’s expertise in crafting custom and special projects for the brand. Powered by a hand-assembled 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine producing 740bhp, the Batur Convertible is a true marvel of engineering.
Part of Mulliner’s Coachbuilt portfolio, which also includes the Bacalar barchetta and the Batur coupĂ©, the Batur Convertible is a limited production model designed to offer exclusivity to its discerning owners. Each vehicle is meticulously tailored to the client’s preferences using a visualiser tool that allows for customization of color and surface finish.
The first Batur Convertible features a stunning exterior finished in Opalite with Beluga and Mandarin highlights, while the interior design reflects the car’s impressive performance capabilities. The interior is designed in a “one plus one” layout and includes solid titanium machined features such as gearshift paddles and air vent controls. The luggage compartment houses a two-piece luggage set in Beluga and Linen, matching the car’s interior color scheme. Additionally, Mulliner has crafted two bespoke key cases to complement the overall design.
The Batur Convertible Car Zero, the engineering development prototype of the Batur Convertible, made its debut at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation and excellence. This launch comes on the heels of Bentley Motors revealing its latest luxury concept car, the EXP 15, ahead of its first fully-electric car launch in 2026. The company has also begun construction of a new integrated logistics center at its headquarters in Crewe, UK, to support the production of electric vehicles.
In addition, Bentley has introduced an AI system to enhance leather selection for luxury car manufacturing, further showcasing the brand’s dedication to combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. The Batur Convertible stands as a testament to Bentley’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of luxury automotive design and engineering.
