The 2025 Chevy Equinox EV LT is making waves in the electric vehicle market with its impressive features and affordable price tag. Priced at $34,995, including destination, this EV offers an 85-kwh battery pack and a remarkable 319-mile range. For those looking for a bit more power and all-wheel drive capability, the Equinox EV RS AWD is available for $49,090 with a 307-mile range.

One of the standout features of the Equinox EV is its dual-motor AWD option, which adds $3,300 to RS grades and $5,300 to LT grades. This allows for even more power and control on the road, making for a dynamic driving experience.

The design of the Equinox EV is both sleek and functional, with a modern exterior and a spacious interior that can comfortably seat four adults. The crossover offers ample rear legroom and a generous cargo area, making it a practical choice for daily use.

In terms of performance, the Equinox EV delivers a responsive and comfortable ride, with regenerative braking and one-pedal driving contributing to its impressive range. The 85.0-kwh battery pack provides plenty of power, with the dual-motor model reaching 60 mph in just 6.0 seconds.

While the Equinox EV has many positives, there are a few drawbacks to consider. The lack of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto may be a downside for some buyers, and the absence of a front trunk for storing the charge cord is also worth noting. Additionally, there is some road noise present, although it does not detract from the overall quality of the vehicle.

Charging the Equinox EV is convenient, with the onboard charger adding about 36 miles per hour on a Level 2 charger and DC fast charging providing up to 77 miles in just 10 minutes. The option to use a NACS adapter for Tesla’s Supercharger network adds even more flexibility for charging on the go.

Overall, the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV offers a compelling package for EV shoppers, with its combination of affordability, range, and performance. With the full $7,500 federal EV tax credit still available, the Equinox EV presents a great value proposition in the competitive EV market. Stay tuned for the announcement of the Best Car To Buy on Jan. 6, 2025, where the Equinox EV is a top contender for the prestigious title.
