BYD’s premium brand, Denza, recently celebrated a significant milestone as it delivered its 10,000th N9 SUV to Zhou Jian, the founder, chairman, and CEO of UBTech Robotics. The ceremony took place at BYD’s global headquarters in Shenzhen, where Wang Chuanfu, BYD’s chairman and president, handed over the keys to Zhou Jian.

The N9, which was launched on March 21, has seen remarkable success, with the 10,000th delivery occurring just two months after its release. This achievement underscores the popularity and demand for Denza’s flagship model in the market.

Zhou Jian, a trailblazer in China’s humanoid robot industry, founded UBTech in 2012 and has since established the company as a leader in the field of humanoid robots. UBTech’s innovative products, including the Walker humanoid robot for general services, have garnered attention from various industries, including automotive manufacturers like BYD, Nio, and Zeekr, who are exploring the use of UBTech’s robots on their assembly lines.

Zhou Jian joins a prestigious group of entrepreneurs who are proud owners of BYD vehicles. Notably, on April 21, BYD’s ultra-luxury sub-brand Yangwang delivered its 10,000th car to Yu Minhong, the founder of New Oriental. Additionally, BYD celebrated the production of its 5 millionth new energy vehicle (NEV), a Denza N7, which was delivered to Luo Zhenyu, a prominent Chinese entrepreneur.

The Denza N9, priced starting at RMB 389,800 ($54,160), is a six-seat hybrid SUV that boasts impressive features and performance. Equipped with BYD’s e3 technology, the N9 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, making it a formidable competitor in the luxury SUV segment.

In April, Denza reported selling 15,388 units, with the N9 accounting for 5,018 units. The company’s strong sales performance reflects the growing demand for its vehicles in the market. Additionally, Denza recently filed for the new SUV N8L, which is expected to offer a slightly scaled-down version of the N9.

With its continued innovation and commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles, Denza remains a key player in the luxury SUV market. The success of the N9 and the brand’s growing popularity among prominent entrepreneurs reaffirm Denza’s position as a leading choice for consumers seeking luxury and performance in their vehicles.
