BYD’s premium brand Denza has introduced the updated N7 SUV, featuring enhanced intelligent driving capabilities, in line with BYD’s focus on vehicle intelligence in 2025. The 2025 N7 model offers three variants of the battery electric vehicle (BEV), with prices starting at RMB 259,800 ($35,680).
One of the standout features of the refreshed Denza N7 is the inclusion of the God’s Eye B smart driving system, also known as DiPilot 300, which comes standard across all variants. This system incorporates two LiDARs, enhancing the SUV’s driving capabilities.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2025 Denza N7 boasts a more streamlined version lineup and a unified smart driving system, aimed at simplifying the consumer decision-making process. The dimensions of the N7 remain consistent with the previous model, with slight variations in height for the different variants.
The SUV is available in single-motor rear-drive configurations, with the lower-priced models generating 230 kW of peak power and 360 Nm of peak torque. The highest-priced variant includes an additional front motor, delivering 160 kW of peak power and 310 Nm of peak torque, resulting in a faster acceleration rate.
Powered by a BYD blade battery pack with a capacity of 91.3 kWh, the 2025 Denza N7 offers varying CLTC ranges for each variant. The model is built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo, supporting rapid charging capabilities and simultaneous charging with two guns for added convenience.
Furthermore, the N7 comes equipped with BYD’s DiSus intelligent body control system, with different variants featuring varying levels of sophistication, including air suspension in the top-tier model. This system enhances the overall driving experience and comfort for passengers.
Denza’s N7 competes in the premium SUV segment, particularly against Tesla’s Model Y. Despite its potential as a strong competitor, the N7 has seen lukewarm sales since its initial launch in 2023. In 2024, the Denza N7 delivered 10,115 units, accounting for a modest percentage of Denza’s overall deliveries for the year.
Looking ahead, Denza aims to boost its sales significantly in 2025, targeting over 300,000 car sales. With the introduction of the updated N7 model and its advanced features, Denza is poised to make a stronger impact in the competitive electric vehicle market.
