Denza, the luxury brand under BYD (OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has recently launched its new SUV model, the Denza N9, after unveiling the updated N7 SUV just a few days prior. The company has officially started pre-sales of the N9, with prices ranging from RMB 450,000 to RMB 550,000.
Interested buyers can secure their spot by paying RMB 2,000 for a pre-order, which also grants them exclusive rights and benefits, including priority access to the limited first edition of the vehicle.
The Denza N9 is a six-seat hybrid SUV with dimensions measuring 5,258 mm in length, 2,030 mm in width, and 1,830 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Positioned in a similar size and price range as its competitors, such as Li Auto’s Li L9 and Aito’s M9, the N9 offers four exterior color options and two interior color choices.
Equipped with BYD’s cutting-edge e3 technology, the Denza N9 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under four seconds, showcasing impressive performance capabilities. The e3 technology, a refined version of BYD’s e4 technology designed for high-end vehicles, features tri-motor independent drive with dual-motor independent steering at the rear wheels.
The SUV boasts a CLTC battery range of over 200 kilometers and a combined range of 1,300 kilometers on a full tank of fuel and charge. Additionally, it comes with the DiSus-A body control system with air suspension and BYD’s God’s Eye B smart driving system based on DiPilot 300 with LiDAR technology.
Denza’s current lineup includes the N7, Z9 sedan, Z9GT hatchback, and D9 MPV, with the N9 being the latest addition to their portfolio. The brand has been teasing the N9 since October 2024 and officially commenced pre-sales after the first production vehicles rolled off the line on February 8.
While an official launch date for the Denza N9 has not been announced, the company’s sales chief hinted at a first-quarter release earlier this year. With ambitious sales targets for 2025, including plans to sell over 300,000 cars, Denza is poised to make a significant impact in the automotive market.
