Two sub-brands of BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) have reached significant delivery milestones, signaling the company’s commitment to the premium segment. Denza announced that the Z9GT has achieved its 10,000th delivery today, with an average sales price of RMB 380,000 ($51,950). The Z9GT, part of Denza’s Z-series, was launched on September 20, 2024, offering both plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants. With a price range of RMB 334,800 to RMB 414,800, the Z9GT features BYD’s e3 technology and a powerful tri-motor powertrain. Originally a joint venture between BYD and Daimler, Denza is now fully owned by BYD. In addition to the Z9GT, Denza also introduced the Z9 sedan on November 15, 2024.

In December, Denza delivered 15,059 vehicles, bringing its total deliveries for 2024 to 126,035, maintaining a steady performance compared to the previous year. On the other hand, Fang Cheng Bao announced that the Bao 8 SUV has surpassed 10,000 units in cumulative deliveries, setting a new pace in the premium hardcore off-road segment. The Bao 8, launched on November 12, 2024, is priced between RMB 379,800 and RMB 407,800 and is the first model under the BYD umbrella to feature Huawei’s driver assistance system.

Fang Cheng Bao delivered 11,418 vehicles in December, with total deliveries for 2024 reaching 56,388 units. The average sales price of Fang Cheng Bao vehicles in December was RMB 332,000. Both Denza and Fang Cheng Bao continue to expand their presence in the premium segment, offering innovative models with advanced technologies to cater to the evolving needs of consumers.

As Denza aims to sell over 300,000 cars in 2025, the success of the Z9GT and Bao 8 indicates a positive trajectory for both sub-brands under the BYD umbrella. With a focus on delivering high-quality vehicles and pushing boundaries in the premium segment, Denza and Fang Cheng Bao are poised for continued growth and success in the competitive electric vehicle market.
