BYD is set to launch 11 models equipped with advanced smart driving systems as part of its Ocean lineup. The vehicles will feature the “God’s Eye” intelligent driver assistance system, marking a significant step forward in the integration of smart driving technologies.

The Seagull, one of the models in the Ocean lineup, will be priced at a competitive RMB 69,800 (US$9,550) and will also come equipped with an advanced smart driving system. This move by BYD aims to make high-level smart driving accessible to a wider audience, ushering in a new era of affordable intelligent driving solutions.

The Ocean lineup, named after ships and sea creatures, is part of BYD’s broader strategy to offer innovative and technologically advanced vehicles to consumers. The Dynasty lineup, on the other hand, draws inspiration from Chinese historical dynasties and will also see a complete upgrade with new features and technologies.

In a recent Weibo post, Zhang Zhuo, head of sales for the Ocean lineup, highlighted the company’s commitment to bringing advanced intelligent driving capabilities to its vehicles. The upcoming launch event, scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm Beijing time, will showcase BYD’s latest offerings and highlight the capabilities of the “God’s Eye” system.

Additionally, Lu Tian, head of sales for the Dynasty lineup, shared details about the lineup’s six families, including upgrades to existing models and the introduction of new technologies. The second-generation Qin Plus, for example, will feature fifth-generation DM technology, while the Tang DM-i smart driving edition will come standard with high-level smart driving features.

BYD’s vehicle intelligence strategy launch event, scheduled for February 10 at the company’s global headquarters in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, is expected to reveal more details about the company’s advancements in intelligent driving technologies. The event will showcase the “God’s Eye” system and highlight BYD’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to consumers.
