BYD’s sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao has recently started mass production of its newest model, the Tai 7 hybrid SUV. The launch of this vehicle is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year. Following the success of the Tai 3, the Tai 7 is the second model in Fang Cheng Bao’s Tai series and is designed to cater to urban driving needs.

Measuring 4,999 mm in length, the Tai 7 is set to be the largest in terms of interior space among Fang Cheng Bao’s current lineup of vehicles. This SUV features a unibody design and is the brand’s first hybrid SUV in this category.

The Tai 7 comes equipped with BYD’s advanced God’s Eye smart driving system and will be available in versions with and without LiDAR technology. The model offers both four-wheel drive long-range and two-wheel drive standard-range options, with varying battery pack capacities and CLTC battery ranges to suit different driving preferences.

With a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, the Tai 7 promises a comfortable and spacious interior, making it ideal for family outings and city commutes. The model boasts a combined range of over 1,300 kilometers when fully fueled and charged, ensuring long-lasting performance on the road.

Fang Cheng Bao officially launched the Tai series as its second major product line after the Bao series. The brand aims to expand its product offerings from off-road vehicles to conventional models for everyday use, targeting both the off-road vehicle market with the Bao series and the family car market with the Tai series.

In June, Fang Cheng Bao achieved a record-breaking sales figure of 18,903 vehicles, marking a significant year-on-year increase of 605.34 percent. The brand’s total sales for the first half of the year reached 60,746 vehicles, reflecting a 232.25 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
