BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) has recently unveiled its latest offerings, the Han L sedan and Tang L SUV, featuring ultra-fast charging technology. Both models were introduced at a launch event, with prices lower than the previously announced pre-sales prices.

The Han L lineup includes the pure-electric Han L EV and the hybrid Han L DM, while the Tang L lineup consists of the pure-electric Tang L EV and the hybrid Tang L DM. These models come in various configurations to cater to different preferences and needs.

The Han L EV, a mid-to-large-size sedan, boasts impressive specifications such as a length of 5,050 mm, a width of 1,960 mm, and a height of 1,505 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,970 mm. It is equipped with BYD’s new blade batteries, offering a capacity of 83.2 kWh and a CLTC range of up to 701 km or 601 km. The model supports ultra-fast charging, allowing for a 400-kilometer range on just a five-minute charge.

Moreover, the Han L EV features a powerful motor that delivers exceptional performance, with acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.5 seconds. The highest-priced variant is equipped with dual electric motors, providing a peak power of 810 kW and a peak torque of 860 Nm.

On the other hand, the hybrid Han L DM shares the same dimensions as the Han L EV and offers a blend of electric and combustion engine technologies. It is powered by a 1.5T engine and features a battery pack with a capacity of 29.4 kWh, delivering a combined range of up to 1,200 kilometers.

Moving on to the Tang L lineup, the pure-electric Tang L EV comes in three variants, with starting prices below the pre-sales price range. This mid-to-large-size SUV boasts a length of 5,040 mm, a width of 1,996 mm, and a height of 1,760 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. It shares the same powertrain as the Han L EV, offering impressive acceleration and range capabilities.
