BYD has recently introduced the Seal 06 GT, a hatchback model targeting a younger audience, with a starting price of RMB 136,800 ($19,260). This new addition to BYD’s Ocean range is designed to appeal to the preferences of the younger demographic, offering a fresh and dynamic driving experience.

The Seal 06 GT is built on BYD’s latest all-electric platform, the e-Platform 3.0 Evo, and is positioned as the first GT (Grand Tourer) model specifically tailored for young drivers. This model comes in four different variants, ranging in price from RMB 136,800 to RMB 186,800, making it an affordable yet feature-packed option for customers.

Measuring 4,630 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, the Seal 06 GT offers a spacious and comfortable interior for both driver and passengers. The top-tier variant of this model features a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, providing enhanced performance and control on the road.

The Seal 06 GT is equipped with various motor options, ranging from 160 kW to 310 kW of peak power, delivering impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in as fast as 4.9 seconds. Additionally, the model offers different battery pack configurations, with capacities ranging from 59.52 kWh to 72.96 kWh, providing a CLTC range of up to 605 km on a single charge.

Furthermore, the Seal 06 GT comes with advanced features such as the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, which supports L2 assisted driving, enhancing safety and convenience for the driver. The model also supports fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 20-22 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime during long journeys.
