BYD Sets New Record with 114,938 Song Family Models Sold in October
BYD continues its impressive sales streak with a record-breaking performance in October, as the Song family models lead the way with 114,938 vehicles sold. This marks a significant increase of 79.69 percent year-on-year and a 28.95 percent jump from the previous month.
The Song family lineup includes popular models such as the Song L EV, Song L DM-i, Song Pro DM-i from the Dynasty series, and the Song Plus EV and Song Plus DM-i from the Ocean series. In October, the Dynasty series sold 63,323 units, while the Ocean series sold 51,615 units.
Following closely behind the Song family is the Qin family, with 86,589 units sold in October. This represents a 102.47 percent increase year-on-year and a 14.26 percent increase from September. The Qin family models include the Qin L DM-i, Qin Plus DM-i, and Qin Plus EV.
The Seal family models, including the Seal 06 GT, Seal EV, Seal DM-i, Seal 06 DM-i, and Seal 07 DM-i, sold 59,893 units in October, solidifying their position as BYD’s third best-selling models. The Seal family saw a remarkable 218.65 percent year-on-year growth.
The Yuan family sold 56,038 units, the Seagull sold 54,081 units, and the Han family sold 30,137 units in October, showcasing the diverse range of offerings from BYD.
In addition to these models, BYD’s NEV sales also include passenger and commercial vehicles. The passenger vehicles under the BYD brand saw a strong performance, with the Dynasty series selling 251,090 units and the Ocean series selling 229,751 units in October.
The premium Denza brand delivered 10,781 units, with the new Denza Z9GT contributing 3,089 vehicles to the total. Fang Cheng Bao delivered 6,026 vehicles, while the ultra-luxury Yangwang brand sold 282 vehicles, including the U8 off-road SUVs and U9 electric supercars.
Overall, BYD’s total NEV sales in October reached a record-breaking 502,657 units, surpassing the 500,000 mark for the first time. This remarkable achievement underscores BYD’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the electric vehicle market.
